Back on the Charles, the BUDS competed at The Hatch Brown 3 division regatta. This 10 race, one day regatta was sailed in two fleets of MIT boats and one fleet of our very own BU FJ’s. The fickle breeze led to many postponements but racing persisted. At the end of 10 races, sophomore Noah Robitshek and senior Abigail Murray scored three bullets, finishing 4th in division C. Sailing B division was Tyler Mowry '23 and Catherine Shakin '23 finishing 7th and in A Division Micky Munns '23 and Matthew Hamelsky '23 finished 6th. Overall, the BUDS finished 5th in the very strong 18-boat fleet.
Down at the Harvard Sailing Center, Lady BUDS competed at the Regis Trophy. Tiare Sierra '25 and Madeline Stull '23 had a great regatta snagging a bullet in the second to last race and finishing 8th in the 18 boat fleet. In the B division, Lucy Paskoff '24 and Arielle Candaele '26 finished 8th as well. Congrats Lady BUDS on an awesome performance.
This week the BUDS will be training hard for the Hoyt at Brown, the Hood at Tufts, and a Tech Dinghy Regatta here on The Charles!
